The information we collect

Depending on how you interact with Isaiah’s Wish CIC, we may collect:

  • Your name and contact details, including your email address and telephone number.

  • Information you provide when contacting us, completing a form or making an enquiry.

  • Information submitted through a volunteer interest form, including your preferred location, availability, volunteering interests and any relevant skills or lived experience you choose to share.

Information needed to organise activities, events or support services.

Safeguarding information where this is necessary to protect a child or an adult at risk

Technical information collected when you use our website, such as device type, browser information, IP address and cookie data.

Please only provide personal information that is relevant to your enquiry. Do not include detailed medical, criminal record or safeguarding information in a general website form unless we have specifically asked you to do so through an appropriate and secure process.

We may use your information only where we have a lawful reason to do so. This may include: 

Responding to your enquiries and taking steps you request before providing a service or opportunity.

Managing  volunteer applications and arranging suitable volunteering opportunities 

Organising activities, events, donations, fundraising and partnerships in support of our community-interest purposes.

Keeping appropriate records and administering Isaiah's Wish CIC, where necessary for our legitimate interests and legal obligations

Sending news, updates or fundraising communication where you have given consent. You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us.

Who we share your information with.

We may share your personal information only where necessary with trusted service providers that help us operate our websites, forms, email, payments, events or other services. These providers must handle your information securely and only for the intended purpose.

We may also share information with safeguarding authorities, emergency services, regulators, professional advisers or other organisations where required by law or necessary to protect someone from serious harm

We do not sell your personal information 

International Transfers

Some of our trusted service providers may process personal information outside the UK. Where this happens, we will ensure appropriate safeguards are in place in accordance with UK data-protection law.

How long we keep your information.

We keep personal information only for as long as necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including to get any legal, safeguarding, accounting or reporting requirements.

Volunteer enquiries and unsuccessful volunteer applications will normally be kept for up to six months after the application process ends, unless there is a lawful reason to retain them longer.

If you becomm=e a volunteer, relevant records will be retained for the duration of your involvement and afterwards for as long as needed to meet legal, safeguarding, insurance or reporting requirements.

General enquiries will normally be kept for up to 12 months after the matter has been resolved, unless we need to retain the information longer for legal, safeguarding or administrative reasons .

How we protect your information.

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal information form unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration or disclosure. Access is limited to people who need the information for a legitimate purpose

Information relating to donations, fundraising or partnership enquiries. Payment information may be processed securely by our chosen payment provider rather than stored directly by Isaiah’s Wish CIC.

Your Data Protection Rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may have the right to ask us to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal information. You may also have the right to object to its use or receive a copy in a portable format.

Where we rely on your consent, you may withdraw at any time. Withdrawing your consent will not affect anything lawfully done before you withdrew it.
